"Maryland Appellation" List of Maryland Wines

The use of regional appellations for U.S. wine is less well developed than appellations in France, Italy and other countries, in part because while the sale of wine is heavily regulated, the use of marks and labels is governed mostly by general trademark and consumer protection laws. The misuse of geographic descriptions for wine here is punished as a consumer protection matter more than as a trademark infringement matter or its equivalent.

But Appellation America, Inc. has a list of wines bearing its designated "Maryland appellation." Enjoy.
